After meeting with the officials of Chennai's movie distribution, we get the smashing news that Pokkiri has done 100% collections at almost all centres in Chennai till date, with every theatre reporting housefull shows on a stretch of days and weeks.

Take for instance the recently concluded one day cricket match at Chennai between India and West Indies. Its a normal practice that collections of Tamil films take a beating whenever cricket matches are played across the country. Added to that, this time the cricket match was played in Chennai, the major stronghold area for Tamil films and the heart of Kollywood.

But Pokkiri had no problems at all in its collections due to the ODI match. The theatre owners reported housefull shows even when the match was going on, which was a bit of a surprise for the trade.

The movie is doing extraordinary business all over Tamil Nadu and also has done amazing business at many places worldwide. The movie has been declared a super-hit already by the trade and its only a matter of time before its declared a blockbuster.
