The audio of Pokkiri released on the 15th all over the world (14th in places like Malaysia, UK, etc). The audio, with music by noted Telugu music director Manisharma has been termed "SUPERB" by Ilayathalapathy Vijay's fans. Vijay's fans, who are considered to be having a great liking for high voltage heart pumping music, have termed the audio as one of the most entertaining albums for a Vijay movie to have released in recent times. The most favorite song of the album according to a majority of the fans seem to be the high voltage intro song "Pokkiri Pongal (Aadungada Enna Suthi)". With hard hitting lyrics and a perfectly fitting voice of Naveen, this song has become a rage with the fans of the Next Superstar in waiting, VIJAY! Fans have also appreciated Vasantha Mullai for its lyrics which are laced with humor. Kids seem to be liking the "Maambazham" song while the youth seem to be in favor of the "Dol Dol Thaan" song sung by Suchitra and Ranjith.
